A Few Notes for Newcomers

(Please fill out form below)

We hope that you will find at St. Matthews a fellowship of Christian love. To aid in our communication, our church newsletter is mailed monthly. To have your name added to the mailing list, please call the Church Office. If you have moved, let us know your new address.

All baptized persons are welcome to receive the sacrament at the Eucharist. This includes young children who have been baptized, as we believe that this is the "family meal," and all in the family are to eat together.

If you have been confirmed or received in the Episcopal church, you may become a communicant of St. Matthews by phoning the parish office and allowing us to send for your letter of transfer. If you have not been confirmed and would like to attend a confirmation class, please give your name to the Church Office.

A Time and Talent bank is maintained by the Church in order that all of us may use our particular gifts for the spread of God's Kingdom. We hope you will add your special interests and abilities to those of the other members of our parish.

Name tags are provided for all who request one, and all are encouraged to wear them so as to facilitate getting to know each other. Finally, we encourage you to introduce yourself to those around you, to identify yourself as a newcomer and to help us minister effectively to one another.

Finally, thank you for worshiping with us today. We hope that your visit was enjoyable and that you find many good reasons for returning soon. Please feel free to fill out the newcomers form below:
