Parish Life
The ministry of hospitality and fellowship involves the people of God sharing the joys and sorrows of life in the assurance of God’s power and presence in our lives. We come together in fellowship to renew, and become renewed, as a community of pilgrims journeying with God.
In addition to those opportunities to participate in the active parish life of St. Matthews listed in this section, we have many other opportunities as well:
Our Annual Parish Picnic, usually held in September in conjunction with the visit from our Bishop, provides an opportunity for us to visit as a parish family and really relax together.
Foyer Groups, which meet in parishioners’ homes on a monthly basis for the enjoyment of a common meal and the pleasure of good company.
We are always looking for new ways to bring people together in fellowship. These activities are just a sampling. If you would like to get involved in planning an event, or working to set one up with someone else, call the office and we will get you started.
